• 주어가 3인칭일 때는 현재형일 때 동사뒤에 -(e)s를 붙임에 주의

• 동사 끝이 '자음 + y'로 끝나면 y 대신에 '-ies'를 붙인다. ex) try - tries / study - studies

• 동사 끝이 '모음 + y'로 끝나면 y 뒤에 '-s'를 붙인다. ex) play - plays / stay - stays

• 동사 끝이 'sh,ch'로 끝나면 바로 뒤에 '-es'를 붙인다. ex) wash - washes / teach - teaches

• have - has로
